Physical Education Week

It is National Physical Education Week. Check out how WCES Wranglers are staying physically active during their school day!

PE Class with Mrs. Wittman is always full of energy and excitement!   Students learn the basics of tennis, volleyball, and soccer. Students focus their learning on overhand and underhand throwing, catching, dribbling, volleying, and striking different objects. Students play many different fun games including Sink the Ship, Pin Down, Mat Ball, and Swamp Ball. Not only do these games incorporate many skills, but they also allow students to work as a team. Sportsmanship is very important!

Students also get to be physically active out at recess. With two playgrounds, a soccer field, basketball hoops, foursquare courts, hopscotch, and more, there are always lots of choices to get moving.

Throughout the school day, students are up and moving doing brain breaks and games in the classroom. We love to move as we learn!
