Alyssa Thomas

Hello My Name Is...

Alyssa Thomas

This is my fifth year teaching 5th grade here at WCES and I am very excited to begin the school year! I love the community here at Wolf Creek and I feel so lucky to be a part of it all! Here is a little information about me!

I was born in Prescott, Arizona and my family moved to Paola, KS when I was four years old. I have three siblings, one brother and two sisters, I loved growing up in a big family! My parents still live in Paola and I enjoy having them nearby. After I graduated from Paola High School, I attended Baker University (Go Wildcats!) where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I currently live in Olathe, KS with my husband, Michael, and our adorable dog, Ollie!

Learning is an adventure and who you have beside you on this journey matters. Establishing a positive, safe, and comfortable learning environment for our students is very important to me. My goal is to promote responsibility and confidence in my students every day. In our classroom I enjoy incorporating technology and cooperative learning into our lessons to make our learning engaging, fun, and meaningful.

Fifth grade is an exciting time for our students because they have the opportunity to become role models here at WCES. I am confident that we will have an excellent year here in Mrs. Thomas’ 5th grade classroom! Thank you for stopping by!
