READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK is an exciting time to focus on the joy of books and reading. This year, Wolf Creek Wranglers participated in a Read Across America Reading Road Trip. We set out on this virtual book adventure on Monday March 2. Each day we “traveled” to a different place and classes had three books to choose from that related to that destination. On Monday, we traveled to New York City and enjoyed some entertaining books. Tuesday brought us to Washington D.C. with books about our very special U.S.A. Wednesday landed us in Mount Rushmore where we explored some biographies. Thursday’s destination was Rocky Mountain National Park and we enjoyed some adventure stories. We ended the week at the Pacific Ocean with some beach reads. We tracked our travels on our Read Across America map. This road trip was a great way to learn a bit about our country and read together as a school community!
