We are so excited to welcome these new faces to Wolf Creek Elementary school this year!
Danielle McMurphy, Kindergarten | I’m Danielle McMurphy, and this is my 11th year teaching! Kindergarten is truly my jam, and I feel so lucky to spend my days learning, laughing, and growing alongside little learners. I’m especially excited to be teaching in the wonderful community my family and I call home! At home, I live with my husband, our sweet and spunky toddler, two lovable dogs, and our cat. We love spending time outdoors, soaking up time with our favorite people, and making fun memories together. I’m looking forward to a joyful year filled with learning, laughter, growth, and lots of special moments! |

This past summer I read a total of 9,201 pages! I am a Spring Hill native, having attended all of the "OG" Spring Hill schools (SHES, SHIS, SHMS, and SHHS). I attended college at the University of Saint Mary and graduated with an English Education degree in 2022. I then taught middle school ELA for 4 years. I am currently attending Fort Hays State University to get my masters degree in Library Media. I will graduate this December! I currently coach wrestling at SHHS, and in the past I have coached softball, volleyball, and golf! I live here in Spring Hill with my two cats, Meri and Pippin. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing pickleball, disc golf, going on walks, and of course, reading! |
Ashton Scholtz, 1st Grade | Hello! My name is Ashton and I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade at Wolf Creek! This will be my 8th year of teaching. I previously taught kindergarten for 2 years and 3rd grade for 5 years. One of my favorite parts of teaching is building strong relationships with my students and their families. I especially enjoy cheering on my students in their various sports and hobbies. I love watching them participate in the sports and activities that they love! When I'm not at school I enjoy attending concerts and being anywhere that has live music, reading a good book, trying out new coffee shops, traveling, and going to the gym. I also enjoy spending time at home with my 2 cats Khloe and Milo. |
Maddie Krajicek, 2nd Grade | Hello! My name is Maddie Krajicek and this is my 8th year teaching but first time in 2nd grade. I have a 2.5 year old and 7 month old at home that keep me busy! I also enjoy reading and spending time outdoors. |
Sunny Huettner, Psychologist | Hi! I’m Sunny Huettner, or “Miss Sunny”! This will be my third year as a school psychologist, and I received my Specialist degree in School Psychology from Wichita State University. I love school psychology because I get to help students recognize their strengths and make sure they have the support and resources they need to be successful. Outside of school, I recently adopted a cat named Gideon! I also love cooking, playing pickleball, reading, and spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited to be part of the Wolf Creek community and look forward to working with students and families throughout the school year! |
Andrea Zilizi, Speech Language Pathologist | I am an SLP with 23 years of experience working with the pediatric population across a variety of settings in Florida, North Carolina, and now Kansas. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with children with a wide range of communication needs, and I am excited to begin a new chapter in my career working with the Spring Hill School District. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and my cat, Cheeto. I also enjoy exploring new places and activities, discovering new adventures, and spending time outdoors. I’m looking forward to building connections, continuing to grow professionally, and making a positive impact in the lives of my students and their families. |
Hannah Gresham, Building Aide | Hi Wranglers! My name is Hannah Gresham and this is my first year at Wolf Creek as the Building Aide, but you'll mostly find me helping out Ms. Stovall in the library. Before coming to Wolf Creek I worked in corporate training and development and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Wilmington University. I enjoy creating engaging activities and finding ways to help others feel supported and successful while making their day run smoothly. Bringing my skills into an educational environment while getting to know our students and staff better is my main goal for this year. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and finding creative ways to keep my three kids learning and having fun! |
Stephanie Simpson, Counselor | My name is Stephanie Simpson and I'm excited to be the new school counselor at WCES! While I've lived in Kansas for 10 years, Texas will always be home to me. I have 4 amazing boys. Cooper just graduated from the University of Alabama in May, Cannon is a senior at the University of Oklahoma, and my twins, Miller and Smith are freshman at the University of Arkansas. Our dog is a black lab/German shorthair mix named Gladys and she loves to hear the sound of her own voice. In my free time I like to spend time with family and friends, read, and travel! I've enjoyed meeting the Wolf Creek community and am working hard remembering everyone's names...I'll get there! Here's a picture of me in Bath, England after my best friend and I completed the Cotswold Way this summer. We started in Chipping Campden and hiked 102 miles through the Cotswolds over 9 days. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐10/10 recommend! |
